said by static416 :This seems like a gigantic and obvious opening in the marketplace. I can't believe there isn't some sort of company willing to step in and grab it. Obviously the tech is there, I know because every other country in the world has it. First one to do it would make a metric crap-ton of money. The first company to give me 10/1, 250GB cap, no DPI, and no throttle gets my $50 a month. Hell, make it $70. I just want internet that doesn't suck. Is that so hard? Just let me pay you for what I want! I WANT to pay you! The only companies that can do that today want the PIN number to your bank account....but don't worry, they won't exceed the $800/week withdrawal limit on your account...until the end of the introductory 'offer'. |

| I'm so fed up with this that I'm actually thinking of just cancelling my internet service, and tethering my iPhone to my laptop to check stuff occasionally, post to my blog, etc.
Sure it's only 6GB a month, and the latency is high, so there wouldn't be any downloading of movies/TV. But with the throttle as it is I can't do that anyways, so I'm paying for a connection that's crippled so badly it's effectively pointless.
Might as well just skimp on internet a bit more and save myself $45 a month.
Bah, probably won't do it. But the fact that I'm thinking about it says a lot. Broadband in Toronto is only narrowly better than internet over 3G. And only two steps above carrier pigeon. |

| Ah but Robbers will only allow you to tether till December, after which there will be an appropriate tethering fee. OR it won't count as part of your 6gb and you'll pay extra -- It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses. |
