CW still can't be beat for weak signals copied by humans. I've made hundreds of contacts over the years where SSB (or voice of any kind) would be far from copyable.

It's pretty much the standard mode for EME (moonbounce) now-a-days. Written by Princeton physics Prof Joe Taylor K1JT, who has the Nobel Prize !

I enjoy CW, but my speed is not what it used to be. I am planning to get into some low power (QRP) radio and I know CW is best for that. I'll be doing some CW practice to get back up to speed. |

Yeah.... Well I have heard that certain lights left on in the night time signify that a drug den is open. I never had a problem, when I owned a house. Of course none of the neighbors were awake at the prime DX hours about 0700 UTC.
Now... getting on 6 meters, before the days of cable TV... damn my 25 watts of real Amplitude Modulation from an old Lafeyette rig (HE-something) would turn every TV picture tuned to channel 2 negative. Black and white reversed.
But I was lucky....Channel #2 was PBS which nobody in those days watched.  |

I used to do around twenty and could at one time edge near 30. Right now, I'm not sure I could keep up at all, but probably with a bit of effort over a couple of weeks, it would come back. I think code is fun.
