I think that many providers don't like the idea of dealing with residential customers due to contracts. Fibre providers want to know that a binding contract (possibly up to 3 years) is in place with a registered company.

Granted, companies can disappear overnight, but less likely than an individual.

Have you tried contacting:
Blink.ca
Megastream.net
Atrianetworks.com

Ask if they are willing to deal with a residential/business combo deal.
