Should be sqft. That's a fairly decent price, but wait until they give you a quote... who knows, they may be hurting for business ;) If you have stairs that's a typical $25-30/step. Make sure you have a place to live (friends, family) for 1 week or factor a hotel room in the cost of the job - you won't be able to stay in the house.
