Re: [XPHome] How often do you do a clean install? I normally do a clean install with each new OS. I buy a new hard drive, just in case things don't work I just plug the old one back in. Remove all of the drives except for the hard drive and an optical drive. Install with the DVD from the optical drive. After the OS is up and running I power off and connect the other drives and then boot and start running on my new OS.
