open "Control Panel", double click on "System Icon", click on "Advanced", click on "settings" under "Performance" tab, click on "Advanced", click on "Change" under "Virtual Memory" and you will see the Page File info and can make some adjustment there.

Your opinion. I find configuring Fx and IE to be pretty cut and dry. IE w/ Avant or Maxthon shells give even more options.

As for lockign things down as you know that differs per user. I use my history and the Awesome Bar quite a bit and there are easy tweaks to the Awesome Bar to speed it up as well as options to search what you want.

Now what did 3.5 do about windows security? I couldn't get one of the older versions to download anything as I have IE locked down so tight it can barely run. Mozilla finally published a workaround for that and hinted that 3.1 (now3.5) would have an option to not tie into windows security.
Trying to find workarounds for some problems is impossible.

The location history needs to be fast. FF3 made it slow.

The location history needs to display an infinite number of items so I can erase them. Infinity - 1 is one too few.

But I can tolerate all that. Until the sorting and searching problem is fixed FF3 is utterly unusable.

The problem is that as yet no browser has ever found a good way to manage bookmarks. Each copies the other and all are horrible. Like severach See Profile I was hoping that there would be an option to disable awful bar built-in to FF. I'm surprised as there are enough people that dislike it that you'd think it would warrant an option to do so. It could even come enabled by default so that whatever team at Mozilla developed it didn't let their baby to be forgotten.

Anyway.. thanks. I'll wait and see when I get FF3.5 what options are available then.

Is this the same fix that disables awful bar but also provides you no history in the address bar drop down (like available in FF2 and any version of IE?). My experience has been that when trying to disable awful bar you loose the ability to use your history or autocomplete in the address bar. not really a great "work around".
