Have to work on mandatory OT due to the fireworks display in my area. It's about a 18 + hour day for me. But I have the best seat in the house during the display.

Just celebrated Canada Day, as we're on the border, but no plans for July 4. Gonna be working and settling into the new house. Yippee. Well, may go out to a local party and watch the fireworks, and see the antique car show, but that's it.

Taking the bus to my yard....
I am going here:

My backyard. No travel, no drunks and plenty of fireworks (not mine) to watch in the distance.

I'll amend my plans. Traveling across the foot bridge to a cookout at Skip's Retreat (Massena's newest saloon, owned by friends.) then to the annual July 4th Antique Car Show and Block Party, which is Downtown on Main Street. If I could only find where the heck I packed my camera, I'd take pictures. There's usually a couple hundred lovely vintage cars and trucks. Some real beauties. The Massena Fire Dept. serves up a big chicken BBQ and hot dogs, hamburgs, corn on the cob, etc. A friend's band will be playing on the steps of the Town Hall, and they close off all the Downtown streets to traffic. Big hometown Block Dance.

So I take it you found a replacement place to live that is acceptable and safe to you?

So you carried your belongings on your back from old to new?

Well at least it worked out ok for you and you didn't have to hire an expensive moving company so they could drop your belongings in the street......

The best 4th ever for me. Did a fireworks show for about 120 people and this was the first time I got to use a remote firing system and it worked out beautifully. Pictures do not do it justice and no, the building is nowhere near as close as it looks in these pics.
