Re: The Pirate Bay gets bought out

I'd sell-out to for forking 7.7 million bucks and you damn well know you guys would too. I never used the site cause far to many files were not what was listed or had a versus. I don't blame the owners they were the ones who could have want to jail for years while the users would just move to a different site.

Torrents are going to end up dead just to much money being spent to kill them. I wonder if the owners have to give all that money to the media people now.

The 8.164.211 seeders + 7.711.340 leechers in 1.671.256 torrents on trackers will beg to differ.

As a guy who has downloaded more than 100GB in the last 3 months alone from torrents, i would say you dont know what you are talking about.
People will only torrent with even more vengence.

Well I mean the big tracker sites like the prate bay. My bad I was not clear on that.

The prate bay also owns mini nova do they not? What do they plan to do with that?

Suprnova was a shitty looking site with a fantastically simple interface.

It became huge. Hundreds of mirrors.

It became too popular, a suit was filed, it died.

Others sprang up, they were sued, they died.

After those guys died TPB sprang up, and now they are dead.

See a pattern here?

Yea..that you can't kill torrents.

All the torrent sites that have been shutdown have been public trackers.

Demonoid was shutdown (for awhile) but have been back up ever since.

Suprnova.org is run by the (former) Pirate Bay Crew and Suprnova.org operates completely separately from The Pirate Bay. Suprnova is not dead.
