anon : charter does not have the monopoly, it is actually the city that does. the city has a special cable committee that votes on the issue. if you want something done about it. petition the cable committee. they just renewed Charter's contract for 5 more years so i don't see anything happening right away. but if there is a big enough outcry they may.

ghostpainter : On Sunday the internet went down and stayed down for several hours. Whats bad is that when I contacted and talked to the Charter Tech, He could not tell me if there was a problem or not.

He wanted to know how my system was set up so I told him. I have a hard wall firewall set to the modem then I have a wireless access point router connect to the PC's. As I explained how I have this system and how Long it has worked he flat out told that he didn't understand what I was describing so He could not help me.

The internet came back up about 2 hours later.

Then I check my bill, and I am supposed to be paying and getting 10MB download service. I'm paying for it but not getting it. Some days were are lucky if we get 3 MB download and I run the test here.

This has been going on for over three months. I call customer service and always end up talking to someone in the Philippines or India but never here and they always say they will take care of the problem. Still waiting.

Then there is the Cable TV service. We have daily freezes of tv stations and some of the premium channels wont work. And then there is the remote. It will lose all of its information at certain times of the day and night and we have to reset to receive the channel line up and information.

I know Charter is in BK and trying to come out of it, but if they don't take care of the problems they are having right now, they wont make it.
--
»www.insidetheie.com/
»earthlogii.blogspot.com/
»vietaffairsvets.blogspot.com/

Why is it that people who never pay attention to the weather are always the first to complain.
