My first ever panoramic test
The original to this is MASSIVE, scaling it down this much still left it 2.5mb :-/
It may not be the most interesting of subjects, but it was a fun experiment!
I used an open-source utility called hugin and just handheld the camera for around 14 shots in a 180 degree arc.
I had to do almost no manual editing other than a bit of cropping (and scaling for this post)
I think I am sold on photo stitching- they are SO easy to do. And I didn't have to limit myself to the horizontal direction. I'll have to go back and do a full 360 degree image! -- for all your Linux questions
reply to nklb Nice result especially given it's your first attempt. I'm planning on trying my hand at it "soon" if we ever get sun around here (Boston) again. -- "Life is too important to be taken seriously" - Oscar Wilde "NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF HUMAN STUPIDITY"
