| Re: [CATV] Tru2way deadline missed said by BillRoland :The article actually sounds encouraging to me, Cox sounds like its out in front of the other MSO's. If they're going to start buying Tru2Way set top boxes today, then they have to be close; they wouldn't buy a bunch of useless inventory. I wounder if cox has dropped onramp and is focusing on tru2way for all the digital boxes/tv's? or will we see additional onramp deployments between now and whenever tru2way launches? | |

@cox.net | Even if all cable operators missed the deadline how many tru2way TV's are on the market that are actually approved for their networks?

You can buy one now that supports cablecard linear lineups. But the MSOs have until 7.1.10 to be compatible to support IPG, etc.

Five of the six biggest U.S. MSOs -- Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Cox Communications, Cablevision Systems and Bright House Networks -- committed to the July 1, 2009, deadline in pacts with major consumer-electronics companies signed last summer, with the exception of Charter Communications, which had agreed to support tru2way by July 2010. The deal effectively resolved cable's disagreement with CE companies about how operators will provide access to two-way cable services.
charter is the onlt one with a 2010 date.
