<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/580037"><b>Tursiops_G</b></A> : Bummer. :huh:<br><br>If you're willing to try a "blind" experiment, Download DrTCP from here: &raquo;<A HREF="/front/drtcp.html">/front/drtcp.html</A> and write down all the current settings (so you can restore them if tweaking doesn't help).<br><br>Next, Try changing the settings as shown above (My best Scientific, Wild-@$$ed Guess)... ;)<br><br>(Make sure to select your particular Ethernet Adapter in the 'Adapter Settings' dropdown, before entering the MTU.)<br><br>Save the settings, Exit DrTCP, and Reboot... See if that makes any noticeable improvement in your speeds... <description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/733981"><b>crazeetxn</b></A> : Howdy -<br><br>I'm in a hotel room and I think they have filters on their connection.  I can't ping or tracert anywhere.  Also, my IP comes up from cableone, but the tech support number is for Mid-western atlantic and my ipconfig/all says it is a 10....IP<br><br>I'm trying to get a better signal on my webcam and I'm not sure if tweaking is even worth it...here's my info for my Dell D630 with ethernet cable:<br><br>1. This is what I get when I start the tweak test. Error...unable to connect<br>2. Mega Path - San Fran: 270/104<br>3. 30-06-2009 08:21 PM Line quality 0% loss latency 42.2ms  <br>4. DSL - Westell 2200<br>5. No. Bridged<br>6. N/A<br>7. XP Pro (SP3)<br>8. Will say 1.5/384<br>9. N/A<br>10.
