Tomato on WHR3-G54?

Ok, before I toast my WHR3-G54 (currently the only router I have available to me to use), can someone please confirm that Tomato will install on this model? I can't see anything saying for sure.

Also, I can't seem to find any sort of "official" Tomato support area where people using Tomato can post questions to each other (hence why I figured I'd try here). Any Tomato users feel like filling me in on the best place to go for Tomato support, even if it's user-to-user?

Thanks!

Do you mean WHR-AG54? If so yes.

No... that's why I'm uncertain. It's similar... but not the exact same model number.

It says "WHR3-G54" both on the router and on the web config screen.

After reading this, see link below, I would try it. But I have extra routers. My attitude is. It runs Tomato or it's trash anyway.

The point they make is that (unconfirmed) the only apparent difference is the missing AOSS button.

Hehe, some useful sites for tomato info:
»forum.lowyat.net/topic/723800
»victek.is-a-geek.com/tomato.html
»www.linksysinfo.org/forums/ (got info about diffrent firmware to linksys and other linux routers)

BTW the Buffalo whr3-g54 has a broadcom bcm4704 cpu running around 260mhz 64mb ram 4mb nvram

U will not find much info about the whr3-g54 router cause not many people got it a few americans and chinese(meself imported it from usa).

P.S had to help a fellow unique router owner:)

Thanks for all that info, Moe Ditch. I'm feeling more-confident that I could try installing it now and not take down my only router.

It's been temperamental lately and I thought maybe a whole new OS might improve things.

As an alternative, should I go out and decide to buy a whole new router just for Tomato, what's the newest router available that is fully-supported by Tomato? This was another question I was having trouble answering for myself using Google and such.
