[AZ] Slow internet

What's happening in tucson tonight. Internet is super slow. Especially to any site on east coast.

Tried to call Cox but they say thier phone system is down due to an emergency. And thier web page does not load at all.

I mostly see the slow downs on newsgroups. They are crawling. I use a premium server and switched to cox, but are downloading headers at 19 kbps!!

From »measurementlab.net/ The bold sections are really troublesome. Seems like Cox is shaping.

The connection was idle 1.33 seconds (12.09%) of the time
S2C throughput test: Packet queuing detected: 99.41%
This connection is network limited 99.8% of the time.

Excessive packet loss is impacting your performance, check the auto-negotiate function on your local PC and network switch

Mine is very slow here in Tucson as well. Speed tests do pretty well, but browsing is glacial. Forget streaming video!

Having major issues in Tucson tonight...connection is in and out, web pages are loading sporadically (and often without images), speed is all over the place (one speed test showed 896 as a downstream speed!) and resetting the modem and router and rebooting the computers isn't helping in the slightest.

Any clues? All calling Cox gets me right now is the automated system....
