Share a wireless connection via LAN?

I am pretty sure this is simple...but I have not figured it out. I have access to free wifi at my house, however the signal is only good in one corner of my home, which luckily is exactly where i would have wanted to put my HTPC anyway. So what I would like to be able to do is share the wireless connection that my HTPC has with a wireless router that i already own, basically using my wireless router as a signal repeater. Can someone help me do this?
I hooked it all up, and bridged the wireless and LAN connections, but i was not sure what else to do. any help would be great, thanks guys

If you want to use a router as a repeater you would have to use a third party firmware like Tomato. What router are you using, and if you can go more into detail into your setup.

can't do WDS repeater unless the serving WiFi device is configured cooperatively. Not sure the OP is using an authorized WiFi connection; says Free, but.
