You're right it was mentioned. I did miss that. Although it did not seem clear that it can be installed by itself. -- My grandkids ARE cuter than yours! |

| reply to MarkAW You didn't mention the quickserve client. A small version that you can advise someone to dowload via email and a link within the program you do mention. This is the one that some AV's give a false positive on. It all depends on how well the hueristic characteristics are set up. The quickserve client will allow someone via the internet to access and run your computer. Although you do need to allow this, it's not a bad idea for the AV to flag this as something you should be aware of. Just because the AV flags an object doesn't mean it is bad, it just means you should be aware. -- My grandkids ARE cuter than yours! |

1 edit | reply to jaykaykay said by jaykaykay :Is there more than one version of Teamviewer? Well sort of, both versions are in one, you can either install it onto your computer or just run it this is were it is executed without installation and once you close it nothing remains on your system.
Edit: Oh and i have used this dozens of time and have never got a peep out of my AV (Avast). -- The greatest mistake you can make in life is to be continuously fearing you will make one.

| reply to jaykaykay There is the full program and the quickserve client. It looks like the quick serve client is the one. Quick serve client can be loaded to the desktop an run in place to allow connections without loading program. -- My grandkids ARE cuter than yours! |

1 edit | Just an FYI for some who may use this program. I keep it on my USB stick for when I need to connect to a family members computer. Today, I was exchanging files from the USB stick and my work computer when Symantec pops up and deletes one version of teamviewer as a trojan. The one it deleted is teamviewerQS.exe I sent an email to teamviewer to see if they can get them to remove it from their database. -- RIP my babys Buttons 1/15/94-2/9/07 & Beamer 7/24/08, Buttons, Buttons video, Beamer
