Re: Fastest Growing Cities in the U.S. are...

Lately Irvine has been building a lot of apartment complexes...houses are still too expensive for the average buyer.

I would think with the VERY high cost of living and real estate in Orange County Irvine would be one of the slowest growing cities. Roseville though has a pretty low cost of living and real estate is much lower

Rancho Cucamonga grew from 3500 people in 1975 to 175,000 this year. Upland has remained stable since the 60's because it is a bed room community unlike RC that has a large industrial base.

Even Fontana has grown since the steel plant closed down. Irvine on the hand has slowed down dramatically over the past dozen years.

I'm sure the only reason Killeen, Texas is growing is because it's a military town outside Ft. Hood. I can't imagine anybody living there voluntarily. The place is an armpit.

Good statistics they're working with there. They are from July 1, 2007 to July 1, 2008. I know Irvine isn't growing that much anymore and the Phoenix area is dropping in population.
