173 IP?

I have got a new 173.27..x.x WAN IP address DSLreports.com is unable to recognize the new IP (It says pick an ISP) also, »www.ip-adress.com/what_is_my_ip/ incorrectly lists i'm in Wichita KS (when I'm not) Google.com if fine however should this thread be moved to the site fourm? Is there anything else I should know about the 173? It used to be a revered block I know that but what else is there? I have a basic understanding of Networking A.A.S from IHCC in Networking
Thanks

It's fine. I've had one for almost a year with no issues. Most sites updated their firewalls / software accordingly and all routing issues have been fixed.

Also incorrectly lists my location as San Francisco, California. That is also wrong.

How about:
07/02/09 01:46:43 IP block 173.16.100.100@whois.geektools.com
Trying 173.16.100.100 at ARIN
Trying 173.16.100 at ARIN

As U.S. ISPs pick up more customers, and offer more 24/7 Internet connections, they need more IP addresses to assign. So IANA pulls blocks out of reserve and assigns them to the RIRs, such as ARIN, which, in turn, assign them to the requesting ISPs. Sooner, than later, IANA will run out of IPv4 IP addresses, though.

Had one for several months. Other than DSLReports not knowing my ISP I had no problems at all.

This issue with the 173 ip is that most sites recognized it as a foreign Ip. I remember when we first started assigning them, google would load to a default chinese page.
