| said by dirtyjeffer :i am not normally into the M Roadster, but yours looks and sounds pretty nice...good job. Thanks man. It goes like hell too. Next up is a lightweight flywheel and M5 clutch assembly, then I'm going with some forced induction for 420+whp (491 hp at the crank) and some insane speed.. That'll put it at 5.7 lbs per 1 horsepower, or, better than a new Corvette Z06 which is 6.1 lbs per 1 HP.. It should pull bus lengths on a Z06 when I'm done.. |

 2000 M Roadster |
S52 or S54?
Sounds great.
Only thing I have done to mine (2000 S52) is shark it. -- Crunching for Help Defeat Cancer and FightAIDS@Home at the World Community Grid. |

| Nice one CKizer.. S52 here..
I don't think I've ever seen a blue top before.
So, since I researched this quite a bit, what do you think the Shark did? Any difference? I passed on doing it because once the forced induction system is done I'll get a dyno tune. |

| reply to Pentaxian Slight power increase (very slight), better initial throttle response (good), and a higher rev-limiter setting( very good). It would probably be better with the recommended cold air intake modification.
Good thing about the S52 is that it is a good conservative stock BMW engine so you have a lot of room for improvement before it blows. The S54 is the same engine (essentially) living too close to the edge. -- Crunching for Help Defeat Cancer and FightAIDS@Home at the World Community Grid. |

| reply to Pentaxian This Meistershaft exhaust system has been growing on me - Nice and deep without droning now, and a higher pitched scream from 4500 to 7000 rpms.. Money well spent imo. Also, dyno #'s support a 9hp at the wheels increase. Far more than anything I expected. Very nice.. |
