I was suggesting making digital classic package into digital starter and making the price the same as standard cable. Digital preferrd would be only $10 more per month.<br>You could get any combination of 3 boxes for FREE(no box fees) except the dvrs would be $5 extra.<br><br>To me that sounds like a better idea than what they have now.]]></description>

But to actually break even on your new entry level package, every serviced address is only allowed 3 hours of service per day :(  To make things fair, though, since it's now a corporation for the people, the 3 hour blocks of service will be handed out at a lottery and determined on August 1st.  Oh I DO hope I get 8p-11p, it sure would be useless if I randomly drew 3a-6a.]]></description>

You would be one of the first to complain about the resulting increase in your bill to fund it.<br><br>750 mhz at a poorly balanced amp is 117 QAM/Analog slots.  These provide:<br>20 analog (our current B1 line-up)<br>142 HD (52 are 2-1 mux, 90 are 3-1 mux)<br>minimum 216 to maximum 405 SD (minimum 8 to maximum 15 mux per QAM)<br>  --average SD is 12-1 per qam, or 324 SD channels<br>4 Docsis 3.0 slots<br>6 VoD slots<br>and 4 dead-slots (interference, leakage, channel 3, etc)<br><br>That's more channels than customers in this area would ever buy.  Digital Preferred isn't exactly the top selling package around here.]]></description>

I'm not sure what kind of equipment they used though during the upgrade.<br>Also comcast worked on our sytem in 2005 to provide digital voice but once again i'm not sure exactly what they did.]]></description>

He didn't have a specific new channel guide so I am not holding my breath.
