anon : Its been a month since i have used my internet cause my modem that att supplied either got stepped on or broke all i know is it went byebye. So I bought a D-link modem with router built in. setup went fine ( of course I ran into the usual " you need Micro$oft OS to install att control and dictate software" so I couldnt use my linux netbook. I grab a 5 year old windoze and it worked and got the internet to work. Of course the very first thing was google up speed test and sure enough im only getting 2mbs ( was getting 6.9mb with cheap netopia router ). It did happen with my older router once awhile like a few times a week. Its only been 1 day maybe i just picked the wrong day??? Its a ADSL2 modem though ( have no clue if my ATT ISP supports it all i know is i am able to get on the internet it just Im only get 1/3 the speed in both upload and download... any suggestions?

PS: Ignore the TDS.net it says Im on, im at work!!!
