Re: [XP] Bonded Router Wont Work With Second Router

I have a router bonding 2 dsl connections.

i want that router to plug into my second router (the RV082 dual wan router)

I plug the router with bonded dsl into the first internet wan port and it does not work.

I plug the router with bonded dsl into a normal port and it works.

I want the RV082 to handle all firewall/port forwarding/QOS stuff but i cant unless the router with the bonded dsl connections work in the internet port(s)

Sorry i assumed it would be confusing.

Thanks

Firstly I doubt you're 'bonding' the two DSL connections. More like load balancing. Bonding requires support from the ISP and uses something like MLPPP or similar.

Secondly, if the RV082 is setup in the same subnet (192.168.1.x) as the WRT54GS, that's probably the cause of your problems. They have to be on two different subnets to work.
