It won't make any difference at all....both 192.168.0.0 and 10.0.0.0 are reserved for private Ip's by RFC 1918 so they both work equally fine.

It's really just a personal choice.

Well didn't have to ask them then, the tech asked which ip range i was using, then he goes oh always use 192.1.168 (not sure why he said that) but that's when i switched it back, think was saying it could cause connection issues, since it was connection issue i was calling on that time.

Ended up being work was being done on the Remote Terminal, and didn't really even need to call

Should make no difference as long as you know proper private LAN IP ranges, other than ease of troubleshooting if you have to ask them and they follow their scripts. I am using a 172.16.x.x range. The entire 10.x.x.x range is private, but active range depends upon netmask.

Hi

A while back i was on the phone with Tier 1 support with at&t discussing things, and they told me to set my lan ip back to 192.168.1 type thing, i had it on 10.0.0.X type before that...would that matter with stability or any issues? Just curious on that matter, i should've asked on this sooner actually
