 [F@H] No active processors

Just looked at my personal stats page and it says no active processors and I installed the software the same day I first posted back here in the forum. ?

I suppose there is something I should have done that I didn't and some place I should look to find the answer to this problem but I don't know where, lol.

Hiya Inchy.

Don't get alarmed, there won't be any processors shown, 'till a WU is sent by your 'puter, and counted by Stanford.

Sometimes it takes the servers a day or three after, before it shows up on the Stats.

Did you use the same folding name, that you used before?

Could you post your fahlog.txt file so we can check it out?

Inchy, you're in good shape! That WU is already 70%+ complete, so you're good to go; everything is running fine for you.

That's the logfile_XX.txt file in the work directory unitinfo.txt file from your FAH folder. What we need to see is FAHlog.txt file in the FAH folder. Upload it as an attachment to a post, easy to read that way.

OK sorto, now you're trying to confuse me, lol. What I copied was the FAHlog.txt file. Is there another one by the same name? And where do I find the FAH directory that has it?

Inchy, in the directory file folder where you set up FAH, there is the text file with the afore-mentioned name.

Do you know WHERE you set up the FAH folder??? If not, hit the "Windows" key, hold it down, then hit "F" to pull up Windows Search. In the search box, enter "FAH*" to find the directory with the Folding folder in it. Inside that folder, you'll find the file named "FAHlog.txt" -- and post that here, so that Sorto can read it and make sure that everything is going okay.

Hope this helps!

Good morning jopfef
No problem knowing where I set up the FAH folder. I can see the source of my confusion now. The file I posted last night was the FAHlog.txt file from Stanford's site. This morning I looked in my local FAH folder and found the FAHlog.txt file you guys have been asking for. Will post it later this morning (have to use husband's computer because my computer isn't letting me upload files these days....grrrrr)

Not deliberately. Just typing while in brain fog, sorry. See the corrections in my post above.

I tend to say "directory" instead of "folder" which confuses a lot of people who never worked from the DOS prompt before launching Windows. Sorry about that. And I named the wrong file. You actually posted contents of the unitinfo.txt file, found in the FAH folder along with the FAHlog.txt file we would really like to see.

FAHlog.txt 39,140 bytes
jopfef -- OK, Jo it is
Giz -- LOL

absolutelyageek -- You didn't confuse me with the word directory. I used computers before we had Windows so I still use that term myself. What confused me was two things: I accessed the file on Stanford's site instead of my computer, and it was named FAHlog.txt but is obviously not the same file as the one I have now attached. I just never thought to look in my local folder.

Thanks for bearing with me guys---still getting oriented to what, where, how, when, who, why, whatsit (now this is sounding like that word game, lol).

Very well done, Ms. Inchy! I like it!

Keeping it simple, created folder (directory) with short name in the root of the drive. Yes!

And you have all my favorite flags (switches) configured, too!

You are a very good girl.

I told you that you were in good shape, didn't I???

Sorto can be really helpful, at times. She didn't even put this statement into her comments:

Nah, Inchy, don't listen to her. Call her Josie. She loves that.

And if you even DARE think about calling me that, I'll have to trek out to Montana and do terrible things to you and your computer!

Hey Josie {said in the quietest of whispers}

Don't know why I'm pussyfooting around you, you couldn't do much to my computer to make it behave worse than it has been the past few weeks, lol. Bad computer! BAD computer!
