You would think that this would be the case, but the last time I swapped in my own modem due to their Toshiba failing to handle the line quality (this was probably 18 months ago) they started charging me an *additional* $5/mo for unreturned equipment.
I had hoped to just leave my own in place and keep theirs as a backup (forgoing the $3/mo credit) just to have their equipment available to swap in so as to avoid a service call fee when the line fails, as it does about once a year. No dice, so my modem sits in a box, and I keep using the Toshiba. |
