Re: State IOUs...Who will get them on Thursday.... In the Central Valley the unemployment rate is over 40% because of seasonal workers and down in the Cochella Valley its almost 50%.
We do need to raise taxes, but only by 1 or 2%. If we had a flat tax on all sales we would be doing just fine but that is something that the Liberals would never allow to happen cause it would take away there power base.
One good thing, the Senators will be working well into the morning hours to try to come up with a budget. The bad thing...How many years has it been that Californian politicians ever sent a budget to the Governor on time. 10-20? Not since Reagen ran a balanced budget, not our flower child, nor Pete Wilson.
