| reply to bruce48 It appears this bug has been fixed. Presumably the fix will be included in the next release:

| reply to bruce48 FF 3.5 truly slower than the previous. And some plug in can be used on it. For 3.5 users, you can reduce firefox memory usage, see the tips here »www.acomment.net/8-great-tips-to···sage/566 -- »www.911-harddrive-recovery.org |

I've had enough. I installed 3.0.12 for now. I'll wait until 3.5x comes out and is proven for a week or more. |

@rr.com | reply to bruce48 Before upgrading to 3.5, Firefox would start in a second or two. Now, with 3.5, it is taking anywhere from 45 seconds (when it's being "quick") to as long as 2 minutes. Very annoying! |

| reply to stev32k Deleting fonts is not an option for me, I create many things in Photoshop and the fonts are a necessity. I really don't think Fx 3.5 should be doing this anyway, any of it.
For the time being I've reverted back to pre-3.5. It does not exhibit the same behavior and is just as good IMO. |

Quite annoying. That needs to be changed or at least give end users the option to search them all, or just check system fonts, some kind of option.... |

| reply to bruce48 For reducing startup speed, check this link, it contains a simple .bat file & sqlite3.exe. The trick is FF3.x uses sqlite as a database, its files become internally fragmented over time, this simple batch trick will defragment them.
Rebooted, and started FF3 after using it, I surely saw the difference !

| reply to bruce48 This may just be a restatement of the above info, but here is an article that helped me fix my slow startup times. The difference is dramatic.

| reply to bruce48 I was having the same problem and also pages on ebay are not displaying correctly. I deleted everything to do with firefox and mozilla then reloaded Fx 3.5. It now starts up very quickly and the pages load much faster.
I still have the problem with ebay pages, but at least it's much faster. |
