Re: [AT&T] Should I rebrand my phone?

I decided to bite the bullet and rebrand prior to sending the old phone back, as I don't wish to hear about any 'non-authorized' software issues.

Get a cable and do it yourself.

That way you can do it in the future.

Either that or return it again.

I was wondering if its worthwhile to rebrand my phone which is being returned to ATT under my warranty....

Something flaky happens where I can't get service (phone keeps searching but never registers on network). So, I asked for a replacement phone, as I'm tired of reinstalling the firmware which destroys some of my apps and settings (that are not backed up by the SE backup/sync software).

I had no problems for nearly a year, and then the last couple months...its a issue. sometimes reflashing with SE's update software and it works for a couple months, sometimes only a couple days....I've worked with 2nd level support (and as if I was a unlocked third party phone) to no avail.

What's your two cents? It will cost me $15 to rebrand it.
