Sounds like a wireless signal issue.
The Actiontec Rev. E had not had the reports of poor wireless connectivity that earlier Actiontec models had, although it is relatively new.

| 1. I can still ping, so I don't think it is signal issue. 2. Distance between modem and laptop - 2-3 meters 3. Laptop reports that signal is excellent. |

| If you have a wired connection and it works when the wireless connection doesn't, I would make sure no one else (neighbors, etc) is on the same channel you are using, ensure you have no wireless phones, security systems or other wireless appliances using the same band.
Then shut off the Ationtek wireless A/P system and get a good one like Linksys. My experiences with the Actionteks has been that they are drek. Remember, the Actiontek router still has to be in place in the chain if you get FiOS TV. |
