Re: Changing Polarization

Same direction will not work, as Intralink has suggested. Even with sync you will be mashing the front end of the receiver every time someone talks back to the cluster. This will occur even with cross-polarization as the radio reciever sensitivity is very high in comparison to what the received signal will be.

Vertical spacing will be the only potential solution, and even then I have my doubts.

That's probably not going to work on the same channel.

You would need a lot of physical separation like maybe 100 feet to get anything out of the cross polarization on the AP side.

In theory you should have 20 db of separaton by using opposite polarity but as smokeshow said if your using the sync abilities on the motos it shouldnt matter

Hello

I have 2 AP's very very close and was hoping that using opposite Polarization on one of them (Ap and all its sms) would stop the other AP's sm's screaming at the wrong AP

just wondering how much it would help

900 AP's or SM's? If they are SM's, then are they on the same AP? We need a bit more info on this one.

Generally, if you are using sync properly, you should be fine running on the same polarization

Hello

I would like to run 2x 900 canopy units on the same frequency, same pole, same direction using sync.

If I change the Polarization of one yagi could I expect to have about a 10db loss/separation?

Thanks
