The RIAA and MPAA may have won a few court cases, but they have already LOST the loyalty (and wallets) of their (former) customers. They can't win this one!
Not sure how someone downloading a movie or song without paying for it is a "customer".

from various sources for CUSTOMER

someone who pays for goods or services

a patron; one who purchases or receives a product or service from a business or merchant, or plans to;

a person who purchases goods or services from another; buyer; patron.

Protip: people who download movies or songs are far more likely to be hardcore fans. hardcore fans are far more likely to waste their money on stupid, overpriced, extended directors cut dvds of stupid movies etc. Pirates are the movie industries biggest profit makers and they're too stupid to realize it. The only time pirates don't buy is when the product is shit.
