[FireFox] Themes

When did Themes go paid? I updated to 3.5 and went to look for a update to my favorite theme "Aero Fox" and see now that it costs 99 cents now. Yeah not much money but pay for themes now? I don't think so. Anyone know of a good dark free theme?

I've also been using the Gradient iCool as soon as I found out the Aero Fox was no longer compatible with FF3.5. I gotta admit I don't like the use of blue. It's way too dark at times to notice, but I am getting used to it (plus its the closest to Aero Fox I could find).

things like this are the decission of the developer, and not firefox or mozilla. I guess it take the author lots of time and bandwidth to keep up his themes. And if you go to his faq's, then you'll see why he charges.

There have been other extensions here and there over the years that went pay. Usually a buck which is reasonable considering the dev put their time and effort into it.

Themes are not an easy update and can be very time consuming.

MR Tech will make the theme compatible with 3.5.
That how I solved this problem.

I've been using Noia since I started using Firefox. Hope it never goes to a pay theme.

Toolkit is good but does not fix internal changes to themes and extensions.

I like Classic Compact myself. Be sure and install the Classic Compact Options extension as well.

Ditto -- are you using it with Fx 3.5 w/o any problems?

How much work do you do for free?

With that type of attitude we'll be seeing more dev's eventually "Throwing in the Towel.

And you're free to choose to do so. And someone else is free to choose to not do so. Wow, freedom of choice... hey! let's have a holiday to celebrate everyone's freedom to choose how they want to do ...whatever it is they do with their own life, time, property, etc. We could call it, I dunno, "Independence Day" or something like that... need I continue?

Nice theme, but what is "animated" (as mentioned on the download page)?

Also, it messes up my LCD clock (which is old and only works with Mr. Tech, but it doesn't look like this with any other theme. The border is messed up):

The only "animation" I've ever noticed is the way the buttons glow when you cursor over them. I have no idea if that's what they mean or not.

As for the clock, y'on y'own.

Ahh, yes, I do see the "glow" now, heh....

Yeah, I know there's probably no hope for the clock with this theme. I can live with it, the theme is nice.

Thanks for your input.
