Since it is onboard their may also be a BIOS option to disable it. Even if you can't, Windows supports multiple NICs and nothing will be plugged into the onboard NIC. /tom

greenbergman @covad.net	I found this NIC test online -- "Ping -t 127.0.0.1 " -- and ran it for a few pages with no errors. Do you think that's an indication the NIC is OK?
