Re: Wholesale rural?

BPL never really got off the ground. Won't be seeing any sign of it around Canada. (As far as I know there were zero deployments of it in Canada)

On the contrary. I do believe bell offers it now and in a extreme large number of areas.

Then click on "Check out the cities where Bell Internet Portable and Rural services are available"

I believe this is 3G/Cellular/WiMax based, rather then BPL...

BPL has issues with transformers, noise, and RF interference - it was pretty much a niche product, and a non-starter for most commercial deployments.

They had it in Sault Ste. Marie for a few years but it died out.
It was supposed to be as fast as 5MB but I never saw it over 3MB. It was cheaper and faster to go with cable or dsl.
