Re: 25/15 is 25/25?...

These were my speeds when I tested a few minutes ago. These have been the fastest I have achieved. I signed up for the 35/20 package and I'am getting higher speeds than advertised.

Is this right or what? I tested three times back to back and got these same speeds. Also this was after tweaking. The previous test was before tweaking. I hope these speeds keep up. I ordered the 35/20 package and I'am now getting 50/31 connections.

Try using a Web100/Java speed test. Those results on flash tests can be inaccurate.

And I have the 50/20 ppackage and am now lucky to get 49mbs down and 19mbs ups. The upload is all over the place. Sometimes it's 5mbs, or 15 mbs you never know. And rarely it it will hit 19mbs now.
All I know is that FIOS sucks for INternet here now. The only reason it's better than COmast is because FIOS doesn't have a cap. I'm tempted to drop to a much slower speed tier now since I can't get what I'm supposed to be getting. And with Tech support being clueless, they aren't helping either.

FIOS really Blows now! It's one mis step after another for me.

aaronwt, ever since the speed upgrade, your upload has been erratic? I'm sorry to hear. I know how you feel about tech support. For the past few weeks i've been getting terrible speeds at night and no one knows what it is. All I get is that it is not a congestion issue.

Well at least the tech last night seemed much more helpful than the tech from last week . He said that there was a software upgrade in my area to GigE for GPON. And the date he gave me did coincide with the week that my speed problems started.

So maybe they will be able to get things figured out since my speeds should not fluctuate like they are currently.

I wonder if this means that my ONT has been provisioned for 1000? Last I checked the LED indicated it was set at 100. Which is fine for the moment, since my Actiontec router is only capable of 10/100 WAN/LAN speeds (MoCA up to 175Mbps).

No, no one is being provisioned for GigE speeds on a GPON ONT's WAN port....

i've been getting the same thing.

I changed my 50/20 FIOS package + Basic Phone Service (~$120/mo) to their 35/20 FIOS package + Unlimited Local + Long Distance Freedom Essentials Service (~$90/mo).

It seems that even though I purchased 35/20 a few weeks ago as part of the FIOS Double Play package, I'm actually receiving 35/35 as of today.

Here are the pics of my Speedtest.net tests:

This is at work. Wish I got it at home.

But I did upgrade my home FiOS to 25/15 from 20/5 (before that it was 15/2) and I am getting about 26/21, so good stuff.

Hmmm... Anyone in the Union County area of NJ getting these results also? These bandwidth test makes me want to upgrade my 20/20 to 25/15.

Three Days later still getting the same speed. I hope they keep it up. I've been able to download from Usenet News groups at a steady 4700 KB/s.

Yes, the tech I talked to was referring to the optical connection, not the connection to my Actiontec.

I upgraded to the 25/15 package. I called FiOS support to verify my provisioning was complete, and the rep on the phone told me he showed my upgrade to be 25/25.
