But if the glass were going to shatter, that's the frequency it would do it. Remember the Memorex commercials, the wine glass and Ella Fitzgerald? I suspect the resonant frequency of that slab of glass is some 10's of hertz or less. Two dozen obese jumbers stand a chance of seeing the cityscape from every floor level in a very short period of time on their way to street level.

You're right. The frequency would be very much lower.

Wasn't there a second floor of a mall that collapsed not too long ago because of this (just from people walking)?

Why, my wife and I have worked their for the 20+ years... It's just those 2%ers that can't shot straight, there too freakin stoned, besides... GD and 5th ave boys should take lessons given by the National Rifle Association... This way they wouldn't hit all these little kids and Moms... ...

Actually a lot of nice hard working ppl live there and work hard but more ex-cons get out of jail and move back there then any other place in IL... The kids growing up in the area have a tough life and I wouldn't want any youngster to grow up anywhere near Lawndale... And like I said before it just a few that really messes up that part of the city... Actually most of the area by the old Sears warehouse on Homan is new and very expensive, while the old Grey Stones are kept up very nice... It's those big courtyard building that have the drug houses and other sh*t that goings on... I feel for the ppl that work hard and have to deal with what happened in the city this last weekend... There were so many shooting (over150) and 13 killed in Chicago...

But all are big shots care about is the Olympics... ... Not those little kids and the many that work for 10 bucks a hour...

Sorry about the rant...
