Re: [TWC] Time Warner Buffalo drops two channels with no replace

Since TWC knew in advance of both stations ceasing operations, they should have planned for replacement channels to keep their customer base happy and show good business sense. That isn't to much to ask is it?

It's a lot more complicated then it sounds. The station needs to get a feed into TWC, and there are some other technical considerations to be made, such as the format the feed wil deliver content to TWC, configuration needed for inserting advertisements, etc, and there are financial considerations that need to be signed into a contract.

All of that may take many, many months..... where it is quite possible that the station you mentioned announced to TWC that they are ceasing operations only about 2 months ago.

Also, I am willing to bet that over the last 2 years, more stations have been added then have been removed. They don't HAVE to do a 1-on-1 replacement every time a TV stations goes bust.
