Re: [HD] number of HD channels in Branford, CT--PATHETIC!!!

I wish I could get Direct TV. I live i a condo and they don't want the dishes on the roof or the side of the building. And U-Verse doesn't have the channels I want (SNY) either.

Of course, COMCAST doesn't have MLB network at all here!!!

I'm also in the Branford system -- and we do have phone and Fast Internet. I finally realized this winter that the HD situation wasn't going to improve anytime soon, so I had D* installed in February. As a result, I've been "enjoying" the Mets (on SNY-HD) this season. Also glad to now have FX-HD, USA-HD, Weather Channel-HD and MLB-HD.

Oh, the DVR for D* --- lots more room...

Don't you have U-verse available out there? A cousin lives in East Haven and has it.

good luck getting more HD channels with that kind of system. You'd be better off going with phone or dish because at 625 mhz your system needs a complete upgrade or moving analog to digital. Either is going to take time and patience. I suspect that with 625 mhz you probably don't have internet or phone or if you have internet it isn't as fast. If this is the case your analog migration or system rebuild will take precedence because they want to roll out internet and phone to as many people as possible.

@comcast.net

We have gotten exactly 2 HD channels here in the last 2 years....PATHETIC?

The excuse is that we have a 625 MHz system...that is an excuse..Comcast needs to get with the program and add HD channels before everyone has left their overpriced service
