Broadband modem to wireless router no signal

I have a broadband modem connected to my router but i get not signal on my laptops.

The connections is as follows:
Broadband modem connected to the WAN port of the wireless router using a basic ethernet cable.

My laptops receive no signals. Is my connection wrong? or is there some setup configuration i have to do to get it to work.

My broadband modem is from Shaw cable. I reside in Vancouver BC Canada.

There is a chance your Broadband modem has a vendor name and model number.

There is a chance your laptops have a vendor name and model number, they may also be running an OS.

I am not sure how I could know the answer to your questions without knowing what you have.
