Re: Media Center solutions I’m not really much of an expert with SageTV as I have yet to try it but it may well be one of the best solutions if you wish to share your Hauppauge HD PVR across a network. Some Hauppauge HD PVR users apparently use SageTV on a dedicated Windows Home Server and access it via client systems, using SageTV software, which would seem to be an elegant solution.
Microsoft Vista Media Center doesn’t seem to have any real-time access previsions for tuners in this way beyond the “extender” model which may be dying or at the very least dwindling as is evident by Linksys and HP dropping their respective extender products. There is no official support for the Hauppauge HD PVR in Media Center. There is the DVBLink for Hauppauge HD PVR project:
