I also think in those days you paid extra if you used a 2400 baud modem. To this day, the best game of Hearts I ever played was on Sierra. There were some expert card players there. After the special pricing, I went with the cheapest plan since getting 30 hours was way too high. I had it maybe 2 years and then I got my first dial-up Internet account.
