Gotta agree with the others on it being your amp. Many people get these nice new amps and have no idea how to use, set-up or troubleshoot them. Many times it's as simple as opening up the owners manual and looking in the back for troubleshooting tips. Another option would be to go to the support page of your amp's manufactor's webpage. There are many ways you can troubleshoot your amp... I would suggest reading the owners manual. As for Comcast not having any idea what's going on with your equipment, it's not Comcast's responsiblity to troubleshoot your audio equipment or your TV. Start out by swapping out your DVR to make sure it's not your DVR box. Have fun....

I randomly have the same problem with audio dropping out on channel changes, using the same type of audio setup that you use and the same cable box.

The problem is sporadic, random, when changing from a high-numbered digital channel (200-500) to a low-numbered (about 50 or lower) channel. I just switch one channel up or down and back to the selected channel and the sound is restored.

It happens so infrequently I just live with it.

Something with your amp is not setup properly to deal with the change in audio feeds between channels. We broadcast what we receive, so if their is a problem, contact the network.

yes! I get pretty much EVERY channel in normal Dolby Digital. The Receiver itsels is even indicating that it's getting the same Digital singal on those channels, but the Center or dialouge is just NOT there!

Hello all, I have a Comcast HD DVR Box Motorola DCT3416. I use HDMI To run to my Samsung 56" DLP. I use an Optical to run to my Denon2807. I've never had a problem until VERY recently. On a handful of channels, I will lose Audio (I think I'm only losing Center Channel, as I've heard some SUB and Surround and various times). The other 98% of the channels work Completely fine! Comcast has NO answer for this!! I tried swapping out my other Identical box from upstairs, Same thing. I even tried a Different Optical cable, same thing. The HDMI does give the sound On those random channels through the TV Speakers. The RCA outs that I have running to the DVD Recorder, same thing. I'm SOOOO confused! Please help!!!
