Good GPS for delivery route

I'm curious if anyone has a good recommendation for a GPS unit for managing a delivery route. It would preferably be able to have 150+ 'stop points' on a single route, and either be able to calculate optimum distance routing for that many places (would only need to do it once for any changes) or allow for easy rearranging of entries per optimizing in other software.

TTS would be nice. GPS would be plugged into vehicle at all working times, so battery life is only a small concern.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and i hope you can offer some good real world advice.

Re: Good GPS for delivery route

Most GPS' should be able to do this. On my Magellan 4210, I can do a 'Trip Plan', and then optimize it to get the best route between all points entered.

To edit points, you just go to that 'trip' and move destinations up, or down. Of course, you can re-optimize them later if needed.

Garmin would be my preferred choice for my next GPS btw, and a 700 or 800 series will give you a lot of features.

the last three ( all tomtoms) that i've used in rental cars had a limit of ~10 or so waypoints, unfortunately. and i need at least 135, minimum. But if you say current revisions handle that much, i will try to find one i can use for a few days and trial.
thank you

Most Garmins have up to 500 waypoints. That should cover you easily.

as far as i know only the garmins and one other gps actually optimizes the route, the others just organize it pretty like......the link above's will actually figure out the fastest(forget the name........I something)

that list is of all the garmins that have multi destination routing

ps tomtom doesn't allow what you need, currently only the garmins(and the ipaq?(i think)) will TRUELY optimize the route
