Re: A/C question If you try to spin the fan by hand does it spin freely? If so, take a look at the fan capacitor and see if it is misshapen on the top or bottom. A fan cap is cheap so if you are not sure just replace it. I would also take a close look at the contactor and see if the contacts are carboned up. Once again a contactor is cheap. If not sure, just replace it.
The fan operates independently of the compressor and should run even if the compressor is bad. |
