Wish I knew what frequency I was on while in Ahwatukee, but I was seeing 28Mb/2.5Mb nearly every time I tested with Speedtest.net. Didn't know about testmy.net then. Right now I'm on 573000000 Hz and getting 18.3/5.6 with PremierPlus and the 6120, and only 8.9/3.9 with testmy.net.

I'm waiting for one of the Cox Techs on this forum to look into things, but I've had 2 trucks out this week and both say things are fine here.

That said, what you're seeing on the forums may be simple correlation. Once one person said it, other's likely jumped on the idea and it's gaining momentum. Unless the majority of people on that frequency are seeing the same, you can't conclude that it's cause/effect.

573 was where i was moved when i got noisy about the every 30sec dropouts and the 20 clicks to get a link to load and had perfect service thereafter i was moved. this move sounds like an effort to extort another $5/mo for the wiring plan. sorry this boy don't play that way.

look at all the posts from people in az griping about the dropouts that post their modem levels. just about EVERYONE complaining is on 579!

Ok, but here's my point. If most people with cox are on 579, that would mean absolutely nothing. Now if you could say that most people on 579 is complaining, that would have significance. Based on what's been said so far, I don't think people making the claim that 579 is bad, have enough information to make that claim.

I'm not saying the claims aren't true, but basic on the evidence I've seen so far, and logic; that conclusion can't be drawn. A simple Venn diagramm can demonstrate my point.
