Help and advice with contacting AT&T about Uverse problems

I have been without service for 5 days now since a power outage knocked out service off. This is the second time in 2 months.

Here is the problem I am having.

We had a tech out on Wednesday, the earliest we could get someone, who could not fix the problem. He got a line guy out who claims we are now too far away form the node to get service.

The tech now says he will try run a new line to get us service, and we have been waiting half the day for him to show up to do this. Still not turned up so we called AT & T again. Apparently they have now assigned a new tech to us who should be with us tonight.

It is now 7PM and no call from tech or At&T.

Given the outage time when are they either going to resolve the problem or pull this whole system out at AT&T expense and put us back on DSL and Direct TV?

Thanks for any advice on how best to communicate to these guys I have had enough, and how do you go about getting compensated form AT&T for sucky service?
