Get some pipe dope at HD and tighten the quick connect. Make some solution of dishwashing soap and water and pour it on after you are done. A leak will appear as hundreds of tiny bubbles (unless you have a big leak and then it will be a large obvious bubble). You will be good to go.

Personally, I would call back the person that did the job, and have them come out & install the Quick Connect, since it was paid to be done in the first place.

Make sure you use at least Teflon tape on the new brass fitting. Easy as pie, just use a real wrench to firm it up.

Just get the correct size
