The quick disconnect.

Make sure you use at least Teflon tape on the new brass fitting. Easy as pie, just use a real wrench to firm it up.

Just get the correct size

You left out, that the tape has to be the Yellow Gas only tape, not the White tape. Personally, I would call back the person that did the job, and have them come out & install the Quick Connect, since it was paid to be done in the first place.

I think it's shitty that the installer didn't put the quick connect on.

'Course we don't know what they paid or if they had the grill then but I think all of these quick connections are the same size.

It is most likely that the 'rents did not tell the installer, and he assumed that they where going to make a more permanent connection, instead of a quick connect. Which yes, you never assume anything.

I don't think they sell many if any NG grills without a quick disconnect.
