I am thinking about buying another modem, and hooking it up in the living room, and hooking my PS3 right into the wall, so we don't have to deal with the wireless.
Anyone see any issues with this at all? Last time I called RCN, they told me I needed to set up a whole new account?!!?
TIA If you get a 2nd modem, RCN will charge you twice, once for each modem. Your account includes 1 IP address to the internet. You plug a 2nd cable modem in and that requires another. RCN sees that and will charge you a seperate fee. You can get a wireless repeater like this one. »www.linksysbycisco.com/US/en/products/WRE54G Put it about half way in between your router and the PS3 and that should help with your wireless signal problems. It's available in any tech store for ~$100. |
