Wow, I didn't know Verizon and other wireless carriers made phones. Golly gee, now I see where....what's that? They *don't* make phones? Oh.

Well then, screw you Verizon.

Innovative? How is gimping a phone and taking away functionality being "innovative"?

Actually, wireless carriers do often collaborate with carriers on phones.

For example, the BlackBerry Storm, and the Treo 500v were both developed by partnerships with Vodafone and RIM or Palm, respectively... These may not be the most innovative devices out there, though, while the more innovative devices do tend to be non-carrier sourced...
